BORDBARBeyond a Carpet
Every knot is a moment in time: a weaving that passes through human hands, travels through the memory of a generation and becomes part of life today.
A Culture Woven
These motifs come from the land, migration, architecture and life of Iran: stories shaped in color, warp and weft, returning to life in the quiet of the gallery.
Art in the Details
Every weave, color and line is the result of years of skill, patience and precision: a quality shaped not by repetition, but by human hands and experience.
Tomorrow’s Legacy
Bordbar carpets are chosen for life today, yet their roots reach into a deeper history: a heritage that is still being carried forward.

Our Story
Carpet, Art, Narrative
In the heart of Isfahan, among pattern, color and memory, Bordbar has gathered and created a collection of Iranian carpets and works of art, each one part of a greater narrative: a narrative of skill, culture and geography, and of a way of seeing that connects the art of Iran from the past to the present.
Here, a work is not made only to be seen.
Every work must have a story to tell.
Discover the Bordbar Story
Carpet
The beauty of a handwoven carpet reveals itself at two distances: from afar, in the harmony of motifs and colors; up close, in the knots and the finesse of their execution. Follow both experiences among the collection’s carpets and see how small details give a work its character.
Kilim
In a kilim, line and color have a clear, immediate presence. The eye moves across fields of color, follows the rhythm of the motifs and arrives at details that carry the traces of the weaver’s taste and experience. See Bordbar’s kilims for this close bond between pattern, weave and life.
Superfine
With Superfine, looking closer is part of the pleasure. The continuity of the lines, the finish of the motifs and the precision of the weave reveal details that escape the first glance. These are works for tracing the relationship between patience, skill and finesse.
Polonaise
Take your time with the Polonaise pieces. Let your gaze travel from the overall composition to the flow of the motifs and the fine points of the weave, where refined execution and harmony create the work’s noble presence. This part of the collection is an invitation to see beauty at the scale of detail.
Soumak
In Soumak, the surface of a work is as striking as its design. The movement of the threads and the meeting of colors give the weave a living quality, drawing the eye between motif and structure. See the collection’s Soumak pieces from both perspectives: what is depicted and how it is woven.
Morvaridbaf
The beauty of Morvaridbaf takes shape in the relationship between details: in repetition, in color and in the order that joins small parts into a captivating whole. As you draw closer to a work, subtleties emerge that invite you to keep looking.
The Path of a Collection
Years of Research, Experience and Steady Presence
Every recognition, collaboration and cultural appearance has been part of a long journey to understand and introduce the art of Iran.
For us, awards, certificates and international appearances are less a destination than signs of a path that has taken shape over the years.
Bordbar’s path has continued through study, travel, searching, getting to know each work, and connecting with artists, weavers, researchers and collectors.
What you see today is the result of years of experience, and it continues still.
Collecting with an Eye to the Past
Every collected work had a history before it entered the collection. Understanding its origin, how it was made and its characteristics helps us grasp its place and, when presenting it, stay attentive to what it carries from the past.
Works Taking ShapeCreating Alongside Artists
Every handwoven piece holds knowledge gained through years of seeing, learning and testing. That experience can be felt in every knot and motif, and knowing the stories of artists and carpets reveals further layers of the work.
About Bordbar
