In Persian, Sepas means gratitude, thankfulness or appreciation; the name was chosen for this carpet in keeping with its mihrab design, its scale close to that of a prayer rug, and its evocation of gratitude towards nature and life. The Sepas Carpet, with its mihrab motif and dimensions close to those of a prayer rug, was designed for moments of meditation and solitude. Against the dark green ground, the vase and flowering branches appear in warm colors and recall gratitude towards nature.

In the Sepas Carpet, the mihrab design and its size, close to that of a prayer rug, have been chosen in keeping with moments of solitude and meditation. The flowers and branches rising from the vase are a sign of attentiveness to nature and gratitude for life; it is from this idea that the name Sepas is derived.
The dark green ground, together with the colourful blossoms and the richly patterned reddish border, gives this weaving a warm and vibrant presence. Alongside this version, another Sepas Carpet has also been woven with a beige ground and a lighter palette, while preserving the same mihrab design and theme of gratitude.
This piece is woven from wool and cotton, originates from Heriz, and measures 125 × 80 cm.
