The name Farahbakhsh was not chosen by chance for this carpet. The presence of pomegranates, cypresses, and other tree and vegetal motifs lends the design a lively and abundant character, capable of bringing a sense of freshness and vitality to a space. Among these motifs, the pomegranate symbolises fertility and abundance, while the cypress, with its upright form, lends the design dignity and balance.
The red ground of the carpet, together with its light border and the harmonious colours of the motifs, allows the design to remain clear and cohesive despite its abundance of detail. This piece is woven from wool and cotton, originates from Heriz, and measures 240 × 185 cm.
